David has been a godsend! We had been struggling to find anyone up to the job of completely re-landscaping both front and back gardens, including putting a french drain in a 60metre land drain ditch down one side of the garden.
David came, and listened, taking on board all our ideas, adding many of his own from his extensive experience and vast knowledge of all aspects of landscaping.
He then masterminded the whole project, initially arranging a complete survey of our property. We appreciated the way in which David planned the best time to do each part; he pushed the drain engineers to get the drain done before the autumn leaves could fill it again. He negotiated hard on our behalf about their costs, which was a great help.
We then had tree work done, and the main garden redesign started in March. David was keen to retain as many existing plants as he could, and every stage was closely overseen by him. This included obtaining 3 estimates from contractors, and presenting them in an identical itemised format. All 3 were people he knew and had worked with previously and he made sure we met each of them personally before we made any decision.
Due to the appalling weather, the planting was a bit delayed. In addition he returned later to plant bulbs and hedging whips.
He did what we had agreed and came when he said he would.The contractor we chose was excellent in every way too.
Since completion of the work, he has been prompt to attend to our queries and has set us up with a "Shoot" online account which gives us, amongst other things, a monthly maintenance plan.
David has been excellent, and continues to be very attentive. Both his work and professional integrity are remarkable. We could not recommend him more highly to anyone who is thinking of using his services.

We have had bad experiences of 'garden designers' in the past but had a very specific need and so contacted David. A very good move.
He actually listened to our requirements and offered sound balanced options which we could discuss as equals. The final project met our needs and not the garden designers. It was manged well and he is very hands on willing to help out with any aspect. The cost for his consultancy was extremely reasonable and you did not get any feeling of the bill increasing with every minute of conversation. David is relaxed and easy to talk to but very professional, knowledgeable and efficient. He was a pleasure to deal with and I strongly recommend him.

We started our initial garden design process with David in 2022. It was a fair sized project with some difficult aspects to consider but were so pleased with the initial design concept that we made little to no changes, although we were given plenty of opportunity to do so.
David was great to work with, it felt like he really understood the 'look' we were trying to achieve and seemed genuinely invested in the project. He was hands on through out with advise and supporting the contractors to ensure his vision was achieved.
Due to the size of the project it was split into 2 main phases, completing in June 2024 and we are over the moon with the outcome. We would never have been able to achieve such an incredible garden without his help. It was a space we rarely used and now we feel like we have added another room to our home.

Having worked as a Project Manager in the industry for a number of years, I have met my fair share of Garden Designers. However David's eye for detail and clear knowledge and passion for what he does, sets him apart from the rest. Working with David is always an enjoyable experience. Initially, David takes clients through a thorough design process where he shares his expert advice and experience to create an appropriate design.
