David is a multi award winning, qualified Landscape and Garden Designer. He has been working within the horticultural industry for over 20 years. His wealth of experience and plant knowledge places him well when designing exciting gardens each of which are tailored to his client’s specific needs. He has a passion for creating bespoke garden design concepts with stunning planting schemes. Having previously managed large country estates and maintained the gardens within them, David takes a lot of his inspiration from English country gardens and cottage style planting. David’s studio is based in the village of Downton, south of Salisbury on the edge of the New Forest. He mainly works within the surrounding counties of Wiltshire, Hampshire and Dorset but will cover the South and South West.

A consultant member of the Gardeners Guild and graduate from the prestigious Garden Design School based in Bristol Botanical Gardens, part of the University of Bristol.

I have studied, trained and worked within the industry all of my working life and have gained hands on experience building and creating gardens whilst running a successful landscape and garden construction business. More recently as a Head Gardener and Estate Manager I have been responsible for the continued maintenance and development of private gardens and landscape: both of which place me well for garden design.
I tend not to follow a particular design style and prefer to base each design uniquely on the aspect and surroundings of the outdoor space and landscape, whilst naturally considering the client brief.
